Spooky RedRum – Moon or Sun

Spooky RedRum after “The Illusion of Time” (Dec.2016) return with their new album “Moon or Sun” in collaboration with the independent record company 39Label. In this second work, they are experimenting with new sounds and orchestrations by adding wind instruments and electronic elements giving us a new album that moves in experimental rock style with dark jazz elements.

In “Moon or Sun” each song contains two parallel sonic narratives, in these 9 stories.

Nefeli Stam. (vocals, bass, piano electronics, composition & lyrics) and Aggelos Mastrantonis(violin, vocals, arranger) have invited for this project Eleni Nota, one of the most important rock metal drummers of our scene, Panos Svobotnik an experimental guitarist, who is involved more in the jazz- blues society and the trumpet player Don Stavrinos, who is an artist that focuses on improvisation. Joe Tornabene, who is an awarded performer, played barytone saxophone parts. Panos Tsekouras is involved once more and the recordings took place in the Top Floor Studio as well as the mixes. The production of the album is from Nefeli Stamatogiannopoulou and the mastering is from Jeremy Loucas at Sear Sounds Studio.

The cover is adorned by the click of Polish photographer and collaborator Karol Jarek.
